Description
Sustainable Fisheries Partnership is hiring a Program Manager, Seafood Markets Incentives, based in Thailand, leading the organisation’s Gulf of Thailand Fisheries (GoTFish) work at the intersection of global conservation, international development, and market-driven impact.
SFP is a wholly remote, U.S.-based NGO with a global workforce, leading transformative work across Cambodia, Thailand, and Viet Nam as an executing partner of a GEF-funded UN FAO initiative. The work tackles one of the most complex and consequential environmental and economic challenges in Southeast Asia, backed by a globally respected funding and delivery framework.
The Program Manager serves as the primary local representative for SFP’s GoTFish work, orchestrating multi-stakeholder engagement across regional and national governments, industry supply chains, and NGOs, and driving market-based solutions such as Fisheries Improvement Projects that create lasting systemic change.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary local representative for SFP’s GoTFish work.
- Orchestrate multi-stakeholder engagement across regional and national governments, industry supply chains, and NGOs.
- Drive market-based solutions including Fisheries Improvement Projects (FIPs) for lasting, systemic change.
- Lead technical analyses across marine ingredient trawl fisheries to fish sauce supply chains.
- Mentor stakeholders across the region.
- Present findings to bodies including FAO and SEAFDEC.
- Contribute to published research.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of relevant experience.
- Native fluency in Thai.
- Eligibility to work and live in Thailand without requiring a visa or work permit.
