When you give, you support the people who do conservation work, and the ones coming up behind them.
The audience we serve is largely one that cannot pay: graduate students, early-career field staff, people at small organisations working on budgets that do not stretch to job board fees or conference passes. Keeping it free for them is the entire point. If you are able to give, even a small amount helps, and a larger one preserves access for someone who cannot.
What your donation supports
Donations cover the work of producing the publications and keeping the platform running: the hours spent researching and verifying every job, event and funding listing before it goes out; the hosting, email delivery and software that carry it to 50,000 inboxes each week; and the editorial work behind the magazine and the community features.
We have never spent money on advertising. Everything SEVENSEAS has built has come through word of mouth and the trust of the people who read it. That keeps costs low, and it means what comes in goes into the work rather than into buying attention.

Posting a job
Write JOB and the job title. We suggest $50 per listing. Posting is always free, but a donation moves your role into the newsletter Highlights, the LinkedIn newsletter and our social channels. Details on posting a job
Giving in someone’s name
Write the name, and a note if you would like us to pass one along.
Sponsorship
If you represent an organisation, company, foundation or university and want to talk about sponsoring the newsletters, the jobs list or the website, write to publisher@sevenseasmedia.org rather than donating here, and we will send you the current options.
Give monthly
A recurring gift, even a small one, is worth considerably more to us than the same amount given once. It makes the year predictable, which for an operation this size is the difference between planning and improvising.
Where your money goes, and who vouches for it
SEVENSEAS Media is a fiscally sponsored project of The Ocean Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductible in the United States, and you will receive a receipt for your records.
The Ocean Foundation holds the highest rating on Charity Navigator and is a Platinum Level participant on GuideStar.

Other ways to help
Not everyone can give money, and this has grown for over twenty years on people doing these instead.
Forward the newsletter to one person who would use it. Share a listing with someone who is job hunting. Follow and engage with us on LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook and YouTube, which is what puts the work in front of people who have not found it yet. And if you got a job or an interview through a SEVENSEAS listing, tell the employer where you found it. That costs nothing and it matters more than you would think.
