OECM and ITT Internship (IN-26045)

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is recruiting an Intern to support the policy team’s work on Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) and Indigenous and Tribal Territories (ITTs). The internship offers an opportunity to contribute to WWF’s policy work on emerging conservation tools and frameworks that recognise the conservation contributions of governments, communities, Indigenous Peoples and the private sector beyond traditional protected areas.
Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis to support WWF’s OECM and ITT policy work; supporting the development of policy briefs, technical papers and other knowledge products; assisting with stakeholder engagement and convening activities; supporting the coordination of internal and external meetings; and contributing to the dissemination of WWF’s work through written products and presentations.
Required qualifications include current enrolment as an undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field (environmental science, conservation, public policy, international affairs or related); strong research and writing skills; an interest in conservation policy and biodiversity; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and proficiency in English. Familiarity with OECMs, ITTs or related conservation frameworks is desirable but not required.
