Description
Sinergia Animal is hiring a Manager of Programs in Bangkok, Thailand, with hybrid working.
Sinergia Animal is an international campaigning organization working in countries in the Global South (Latin America and Southeast Asia) to reduce animal suffering and promote more compassionate food choices. Rated as one of the world’s most effective animal protection organizations by Animal Charity Evaluators, the team uses negotiations, investigations, peaceful direct actions, and innovative campaigning to expose the suffering of farmed animals and help build a world in which no animals are exploited for food.
The Manager of Programs leads the Thailand team and oversees programs that drive real impact. The role reports to the Managing Director, Thailand, and owns strategic alignment, key goals and metrics, on-time and in-scope delivery of projects, and operational continuity. The role is built for a results-driven professional with passion for impact, people management, and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, set clear strategies, deadlines, and expectations, and ensure team members have the resources and support they need.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in hiring new program staff, ensure smooth recruitment, and deliver comprehensive induction and orientation.
- Develop and implement professional development initiatives including training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to align local strategies with organizational goals; act as a strategy ambassador to keep the local team engaged with the mission.
- Provide strategic direction to ensure effective execution of program activities and support the team in achieving project goals on deadline.
- Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and proactively adjust strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Track program objectives and provide regular updates, impact reports, and strategic insights to the Managing Director and Impact and Strategy Director.
- Manage program budgets, ensure responsible financial planning, and review and approve requisitions, advances, and expenses in compliance with organizational policies.
- Uphold and enforce organizational policies, ensuring all activities adhere to ethical standards, legal requirements, and internal guidelines.
Requirements
- Highly committed, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with strong accountability and initiative.
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision; excellent time management and decision making.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Analytical thinker with proactive problem-solving approach.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and maintain high organization.
- Fluent in Thai and advanced to fluent in English.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across diverse audiences.
- Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across cross-cultural environments.
- Solid experience planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion.
- Passion for social change, advocacy, and the organization’s mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or desire to lead and inspire teams through mentorship and guidance.
- Prior experience working in an international or multicultural setting.
- Previous experience in campaigning and professional comms strategies.
Additional Notes
- Full-time, 40 hours per week. Reports to the Managing Director, Thailand.
