Description
Arcadis is hiring a Junior Environmental Consultant to join the Environmental Planning team in London, England, a full-time role producing Environmental Impact Assessments across a variety of infrastructure projects.

The Junior Environmental Consultant joins the Environmental Planning team and works closely with clients from day one. Specialisations across the broader environmental team include protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, and noise.
Responsibilities
- Support the production of Environmental Impact Assessments and similar environmental assessments for a wide range of infrastructure projects in private and public sectors.
- Provide environmental advice and support to clients, project managers, and colleagues.
- Coordinate with consultees and stakeholders.
- Work closely with technical specialists.
- Develop reports and communication tools, including the ability to summarise and explain outcomes to non-technical audiences.
- Manage projects, overseeing performance on technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety dimensions.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience producing Environmental Appraisals, Environmental Statements, and Sustainability Appraisals with a working knowledge of EIA practices and procedures.
- Experience of planning processes and various consenting regimes.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of Quality Assurance processes.
- Ability to work independently or within a client office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and application experience of sustainability, waste, or carbon assessments.
- SEA experience.
