WWF International is hiring a Director, Country Office Finance to lead the Country Office Finance pillar of the organisation. The role reports to the Global Director, Finance and supervises the Regional Finance Business Partners covering the Congo Basin, Europe and North America (EUNA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), and East and Southern Africa. The mission is to ensure WWF country offices operate with strong, compliant, and strategic financial management systems that safeguard resources and enable financially sustainable conservation programmes aligned with WWF international standards and global strategy.

The position covers four broad areas: business partnering and strategic financial advice (building a country-office-facing finance business partnering culture through the Regional Finance Business Partners, providing decision-ready insight to Country Directors and Regional Directors, coordinating financial capacity building for Country Finance Leaders and non-Finance Leaders, and supporting Country Directors on recruitment and performance management for senior Finance roles); financial planning (overseeing annual and rolling planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Country Offices, monitoring against the Strategic Plan, identifying risks and trends early, coordinating with resource mobilisation teams on income forecasts, and supporting long-term contingency planning); financial analysis and reporting (leading the Regional Finance Business Partners in producing accurate, timely insights, ensuring smooth information flow across Country Offices and the Global Finance function, and refining KPI dashboards and reporting approaches); and documentation, guidance, and team leadership (developing process documentation, championing continuous improvement, and managing the Regional Finance Business Partners through objective setting, coaching, and performance supervision).

Required qualifications include a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) and/or CFA/MBA (highly desirable), with a post-graduate degree in finance or business administration an advantage. Candidates need significant senior financial management experience in a complex, multi-jurisdictional international operating environment, with INGO experience an advantage, demonstrated country office financial management and oversight experience, and prior experience implementing or improving globally integrated financial systems or ERP solutions. Required skills include strong financial acumen, excellent leadership and managerial capability, customer-centric business partnering, strategic foresight and global systems thinking, high integrity and sound judgement on internal controls, risk management, and compliance. Fluency in English is essential and French is highly desirable.
