Description
11th Hour Racing is hiring a Digital Communications Manager in Newport, Rhode Island, on a full-time basis with a salary range of $85,000 to $110,000.

The Digital Communications Manager owns the organisation’s digital ecosystem, including channel strategy, content execution, performance analytics, and growth. The role reports to the VP, Communications and Marketing, and partners closely with the Communications Manager who leads campaign strategy and content direction.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy and day-to-day management of all digital channels, including social media, website, newsletter, email, and YouTube, in collaboration with contracted organic and paid social strategists.
- Develop and manage the digital content calendar and publishing cadence.
- Ideate and develop content, both written and visual, with occasional support from graphic design consultants.
- Execute content publishing, community management, and channel updates.
- Translate campaign strategies into channel-specific execution plans and partner with the Communications Manager to deploy campaigns effectively.
- Optimise content formats and messaging for each channel, collaborating with creative agencies.
- Liaise with 11th Hour Racing ambassadors and paid influencers to deliver UGC campaigns aligned with communications strategy.
- Own paid social strategy, execution, and budget management, optimising for reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Identify opportunities for audience growth and channel expansion.
- Oversee website content updates, structure, and storytelling integration; lead website audits, UX improvements, and content optimisation.
- Track digital performance metrics and report on channel health, growth, and engagement.
Requirements
- Manager-level experience in digital communications across owned channels including social, website, email, and video.
- Demonstrated experience owning paid social strategy, execution, and budget.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into channel and content decisions.
- Experience managing creative agencies, contracted strategists, and ambassador or influencer partnerships.
- Excellent writing and editorial judgement with the ability to maintain consistent brand voice across platforms.
- Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ocean conservation, sailing, or sustainability sectors.
- Video production and editing skills for social-first content.
- SEO and website UX optimisation experience.
