350.org is hiring a Data and Analytics Manager to lead the organisation-wide data strategy and manage 350 data reporting tools and CRM, from data modelling and governance through to dashboarding and self-serve reporting. The role sits within the Engagement department and supports the creation of organisational KPIs and measurement frameworks, maintaining data quality, privacy, and security, and delivering clear, actionable reporting that drives decisions. The Manager champions an organisation-wide data culture, builds shared understanding of the value of data, embeds good practice, and works with staff at all levels including the Senior Leadership Team to enable evidence-based planning and align data priorities to strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include leading 350 data strategy and governance and supporting the creation of organisation-level KPIs and measurement frameworks; driving an organisation-wide data culture and embedding evidence-based decision-making at all levels; owning and developing 350 BigQuery data warehouse, including data model design and maintenance, query performance optimisation, access control management, and ensuring the warehouse serves as the reliable foundation for organisational reporting; leading BI and reporting work, including building and maintaining Metabase dashboards, managing ELT pipelines and data transformations from BigQuery, governing user permissions, and ensuring datasets are reliable, well-documented, and accessible for self-serve reporting; owning the strategic roadmap and technical architecture of Salesforce, defining data governance, security, and quality standards while leading user adoption and change management.
Additional duties include developing tailored dashboards and visualisations; supporting the Organisational Processes Team in maintaining accessible information on performance trends, campaign strategies, milestones, and progress; designing and overseeing tagging and tracking protocols; co-leading data privacy, security, and compliance for supporter data (GDPR and other regulations); developing and implementing data hygiene protocols; managing external vendors; and line managing the Senior Data Specialist and Senior CRM Specialists.
Required qualifications include at least 6 years of experience leading organisation-wide data strategy; at least 6 years hands-on implementation experience across data warehousing/ELT, reporting/BI, and CRM, including governance, privacy, and systems integration; strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery; experience managing data visualisation platforms such as Metabase; experience managing Salesforce or a similar CRM system; advanced SQL skills; strong experience managing complex data integration projects; knowledge of statistical concepts; knowledge of data privacy and security best practices; excellent team leadership, stakeholder alignment, prioritisation, and facilitation skills; exceptional communication and culture-building skills; strong organisational abilities across time zones and cultures; and experience of budget management for cloud data platforms and vendor contracts.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of ActionKit, ActionNetwork, or Control Shift Labs; experience with digital fundraising platforms such as Fundraise Up; experience with international data regulations and cross-border data considerations; experience migrating organisations between technical platforms; change management experience; experience with distributed online campaigning organisations; and knowledge of email deliverability principles. The role is fully remote, 36 hours per week, with occasional domestic and international travel.
