Coral Finance Convenings Consultant

Catalytic Finance Foundation is recruiting a Coral Finance Convenings Consultant to support the Foundation’s ongoing programme of high-level convenings focused on mobilising and aligning capital for coral reef conservation and restoration. The Foundation works at the intersection of finance, conservation and policy to develop and scale catalytic financing solutions that unlock public, private and philanthropic capital for ocean ecosystems.

The Consultant will lead the design and delivery of the Foundation’s coral finance convenings, working with the Foundation’s leadership, partners and stakeholders to convene investors, donors, governments, conservation organisations, scientists and Indigenous and local community representatives around shared agendas for coral reef finance. Convenings include both global flagship events (e.g., in Geneva) and smaller regional or thematic dialogues.

Responsibilities include developing convening agendas and curating speakers and participants; coordinating with co-hosts, partners and venues; supporting logistical planning and event execution; producing pre-meeting briefing materials, session notes and post-event outputs; managing communications around the convenings (invitations, reports, press); and contributing to the Foundation’s broader coral finance strategy and partnerships.

Required qualifications include significant experience in convening or event management at the senior international level; understanding of ocean finance, conservation finance, blended finance or related fields; understanding of coral reef conservation, science or policy is highly desirable; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work with diverse stakeholders across sectors and geographies; the ability to travel internationally; and strong project management skills.
