About This Event:
Into the Blue Book Club convenes quarterly to explore ocean-themed literature with readers worldwide. REEF’s virtual book club creates space for marine conservation advocates, scientists, and ocean lovers to engage with environmental writing while building community across geographic boundaries.
July’s selection is Indigenous Pacific Islander Eco-Literatures, an anthology edited by Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner, Leora Kava, and Craig Santos Perez. This collection centers Indigenous Pacific voices on environmental issues, ocean stewardship, and climate resilience. Members will explore how Indigenous knowledge systems inform contemporary marine conservation and environmental justice.
