Giacomo Abrusci is a conservation biologist with over thirteen years of international work experience. He is a photographer, community organizer, and comes from a diverse communications background and certified as a digital marketing professional by the Thai Ministry of Education. He is a well connected member of the conservation and tourism community and has a proven entrepreneurial spirit and track record. He has worked in marine biodiversity conservation with Conservation International and in scientific publishing and education at the American Chemical Society. Currently he holds a broad communications position at the International Union for Conservation of Nature where he also runs the Global Marine Community. He is the Founder and Executive Director of SEVENSEAS Media that focuses on ocean conservation and sustainable tourism. His mission is to connect individuals and resources inside and out of the conservation community to further the shared goal of preventing habitat destruction and biodiversity loss. Giacomo lived in Washington, DC from 2000-2016 where he stayed extremely involved in local arts and community development. He has since moved to Bangkok, Thailand with his husband where they both continue to better nature and humanity through science, technology, partnerships, and strategic communications.
