REEF is a specialised subsidiary of Red Sea Global, delivering environmental advisory services focused on mangrove plantation enhancement, coral management programmes, and in-depth baseline environmental surveys. The Environment Coordinator supports the execution of consultancy services related to mangrove monitoring, conservation and enhancement. The role has a strong fieldwork component, contributing to field surveys such as baseline assessments and monitoring protocols, and to mangrove and terrestrial restoration activities for clients within and beyond Saudi Arabia. The Coordinator conducts field operations, including responsibility for logistics, field data recording and progress reporting, and contributes to the supervision of workers on larger-scale restoration projects.

Responsibilities include conducting field surveys for mangrove monitoring and restoration following standardised protocols, including measurements of seedling and tree parameters, measurement of environmental parameters using sensors, and sample collection; implementing small-scale mangrove restoration activities including nurseries and planting; coordinating labour for large-scale restoration; ensuring smooth fieldwork operations through advance planning; recording data using standardised forms and quality-checking data recorded by others; and applying all safety procedures during field, boat and marine operations. Requirements include a relevant bachelor’s degree, for example in environmental or biological science (fresh graduates are eligible), or a diploma in a relevant technical field with a minimum of two years of directly relevant experience. Experience with fieldwork in mangrove ecosystems and in remote regions is desirable, along with data management experience and Microsoft Office proficiency. Candidates should be physically able to work in demanding field environments, and a good command of English is highly desirable. The role requires frequent field presence in coastal, marine and intertidal zones.
