Jim Toomey, Land-Ocean Connection

UN Environment has partnered with internationally-acclaimed cartoonist Jim Toomey, of Sherman’s Lagoon fame, to develop a video series to raise awareness of the important role the ocean plays, through animation and humor.

This short video highlights the impact of our land-based activities has on ocean health. Fertilizers, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other litter that we introduce into the wastewater system can threaten the health of marine animals and people. Every community is an ocean community and we must find ways to reduce human impact on the ocean.  #CleanSeas
