FORCE BLUE Veterans Conduct Tour of Duty in Your National Marine Sanctuaries
About this event
FORCE BLUE redeploys Special Operations veterans and military-trained combat divers to work alongside scientists on marine conservation projects. Its divers are working with NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries on a multi-year Sanctuaries Tour of Duty campaign, carrying out conservation missions in and around each of the US national marine sanctuaries. This webinar covers FORCE BLUE’s work, past and upcoming Tour of Duty projects, and audience questions. It is part of the National Marine Sanctuaries Webinar Series, which provides educators, students and the interested public with scientific expertise, resources and training to support ocean literacy in the classroom.
