Reef Check Malaysia is proud to host an official Side Event for the UN Ocean Conference 2025. This webinar will bring together experts and practitioners from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines to share how local communities are leading efforts to protect and sustainably manage marine resources — efforts that are central to achieving SDG 14: Life Below Water.
Titled “Community-Based Marine Resource Management in Southeast Asia: Benefits, Challenges & Lessons from Four Countries,” this session will explore CBMRM from three key perspectives — Community, Policy/Legal, and Science — and highlight the benefits, challenges, and lessons learned across the region.
