Here a small shark drifts calmly away and I was struck by the languid movements of it’s back fins….Sharks are more known known for their other, more prominent end…the sharper one. Once while snorkeling in Key West I was looking at a lobster den when suddenly I looked up just in time to see this beautiful ray glide silently by…. Even us land-locked lubbers can appreciate the subtle grace and beauty of undersea dancers like this polyp. This is Dolores a 3 year old female pacific octopus happily chilling in her tank with a mason jar full of goodies tucked tightly under 2 of her tentacles… mid-day snack.
