Job Description:
KLA is seeking a Senior Manager of Climate Analysis to lead its Climate Analysis Team and manage all technical assessments of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, climate vulnerabilities, and the potential impacts of climate actions at the local government level.
This is a leadership role that involves overseeing staff, client deliverables, and internal innovation in climate data analytics. The successful candidate will be self-directed, experienced in GHG inventory work and climate vulnerability assessments, and able to manage multiple projects. You’ll join a woman-owned, benefit corporation fully dedicated to equipping local governments with bold and equitable climate solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Climate Analysis Team and all GHG and climate vulnerability assessments
- Scope and manage climate data analysis tasks with precision and creativity
- Apply best practices for data collection, analysis, and climate forecasting
- Oversee delivery of high-quality, actionable climate analysis aligned with client needs
- Manage client relationships, project budgets, and internal staff performance
- Evaluate data quality and address data challenges
- Present data in engaging ways that support climate storytelling and equitable solutions
- Stay updated on best practices and bring innovations to KLA’s analysis services
- Contribute to new service offerings and support business development
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years’ experience in GHG accounting, analysis, and climate forecasting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in climate vulnerability or hazard assessments
- Experience working on climate impacts affecting natural, built, economic, and human systems
- Strong knowledge of climate equity and social vulnerability
- Proficiency in Excel, R, GIS software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience managing teams and working in cross-functional environments
- Exceptional data visualization and communication skills
- Proven track record of using metrics to guide sustainability planning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with local governments
- Prior consulting experience, including time management and billing
- Experience in public facilitation or stakeholder engagement processes
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $85,000–$110,000
- 401(k) plan (after 90 days)
