Ocean Media Institute

We at the Ocean Media Institute (OMI) are seeking to contract a remote, part-time professional Fundraising and Development Associate who will be responsible for identifying and securing funding and developing new relationships with potential partners as we grow our organization. This role includes fundraising, donor tracking and the creation and execution of engagement strategies. You’ll work remotely, yet closely with OMI’s Executive Director and Board President and play a key role in driving donor impact. Job functions include

  • Developing and executing a fundraising plan;
  • Researching, writing, and managing grant proposals;
  • Overseeing gift processing and donor acknowledgments;
  • Planning and executing fundraising campaigns and/or special events;
  • Implementing a cohesive business and brand development strategy that safeguards our status as 501(c)(3) organization

Compensation: $12,000 (based on an estimate of $30/hr for 15 hrs/wk over 26 weeks)

Period of Performance: Contract term is six months (26 weeks), estimated to be approx. 400 hours of work. Hours per week may fluctuate based on project demand.
