Description:
Mercor is recruiting Plant & Animal Specialists for a high-impact project supporting AI research. Botanists and related experts will review images to identify the genus and species of plants or animals. This work directly supports training AI in recognizing biological imagery and contributes to the intersection of ecology and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze images and identify genus/species of plant subjects
- Use personal expertise—no external reference tools allowed
- Ensure scientific accuracy and consistency of all entries
Requirements:
- Must reside in the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia
- Must have a relevant degree or expertise in one of the following:
- Botanist, Arborist, Zoologist, Entomologist, Wildlife Biologist
- Ornithologist, Veterinarian, Vet Tech, Large Animal Vet
- Experienced or professional Bird Watcher
- Must pass a subject-based screening quiz after initial review
