OARS Workshop at the 6th International Symposium on the Ocean in a High-CO₂ World
About this event
Held during the 6th International Symposium on the Ocean in a High-CO₂ World (13 to 16 October 2026), this OARS workshop shows participants how to use the OARS Framework for Action to tie their research to management decisions. Participants hear success stories and challenges from OARS researchers and connect with others tackling the same problems from different angles. The workshop focuses on co-developing ocean acidification research with different decision-making needs in mind, asking what co-design of OA research tailored to user needs looks like and how to set up decision-relevant collaborations from the start. Participants can also join the OARS Framework Working Group as regional champions, helping to improve and promote the Framework locally and internationally through the UN Decade of Ocean Science. Workshop places are selected during symposium registration.
