FIMEC 2027 Deadline: Abstracts, Early Registration and Financial Support

Friday 30 October 2026 is the extended deadline for abstract submissions, early registration and financial support applications for the Global Symposium on Fisheries Management in an Ecosystem Context (FIMEC 2027). The symposium takes place from 10 to 13 May 2027 in Penang, Malaysia, and brings together scientists, fisheries managers, policymakers and practitioners to review more than two decades of the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries.
The programme runs across four themes: governance, policy and people; global change and uncertainty in scientific advice; practical implementation; and emerging approaches, followed by a synthesis session.
