In April, our Discovery Lab will be all about keeping marine animals safe while fishing. Test out your skills building bycatch reduction devices in fun engineering challenges and learn about what technologies keep fish in nets and keep dolphins, turtles, and sea birds out. Then, Derek Jackson will talk about his research on bycatch reduction in Pacific halibut fisheries on the West Coast of the United States.
