About This Event: Ever wondered where those dozen oysters you order on the half shell actually get their start? Join VIMS for this month’s After Hours Lecture as Dr. Jessica Small walks the audience through the science of oyster aquaculture, from breeding programs to the role VIMS has played in the Chesapeake Bay oyster resurgence.

Doors open at 6:30 PM with light refreshments available before the lecture begins at 7:00 PM in McHugh Auditorium. This lecture is designed for adult audiences and will be available simultaneously as a live-streamed webinar; webinar links are sent with all registration confirmations. Registration is required for both in-person and online attendees.
