World Oceans Day in Bangkok! SEVENSEAS Media is hosting two events!

On World Oceans Day, people around the world celebrate and honor the ocean which connects all of us, but is under threat. Join SEVENSEAS Media and together, we can protect our ocean. The mission of SEVENSEAS Media is to connect individuals and resources inside and outside of the conservation community to further the shared goal of preventing habitat destruction and biodiversity loss. See below for more details about our events.

Wednesday June 6, 2018: An Environmental Networking Happy Hour 6-7:30pm at Mejico, 2nd Floor of Groove in Central World, Bangkok. Bring business cards, handouts to represent your organization, and ideas on how you can connect and collaborate with others. Please consider a 200-500 Baht cash donation to support our riverside cleanup. If you would like to make a larger donation to support our work please go here and type World Oceans Day in the subject box. RSVP and send any questions or ideas to collaborate to giacomo@sevenseasmedia.org.

Saturday June 9, 2018: A Bangkok Riverside Cleanup. The singular main event has been changed from one central location to a number of smaller clean-ups around the city. If you would like to start your own cleanup or join another, please email me at the address below. As you know the hundreds of canals in the “Venice of the East” all eventually flow into the Gulf of Thailand, littering beaches, polluting water, killing wildlife, and poisoning the fish we eat. Join us to spend one day (and hopefully inspire others) to do our part in cleaning up the river-side mess that will soon wash into the sea. Consider a 200-500 Baht cash donation to support our riverside cleanup. If you would like to make a larger donation to support our work please go here and type World Oceans Day in the subject box. Please RSVP and send any questions to giacomo@sevenseasmedia.org. Don’t forget to take pictures!

We still need support for the Bangkok Riverside Cleanup and you can help by 1. Donating or bringing your own large trash bags 2. Donating or bringing your own gloves 3. Donating insect repellant 4. Lending trash grabbers and fishing nets. 5. Identifying sponsors for any companies interested in supporting this project (we will all be happy to wear your t-shirts!) 6. Financial contributions to support our work 7. Suggestions for locations in need of cleanup. Koh Kret and Bang Krachao are the two most popular spots so far. 8. Encouraging friends to join us or start their own cleanup.
