
American Conservation Experience (ACE)
- Salary/Compensation: Up to $680 per week living allowance, paid bi-weekly

Essential Functions:
- Support and lead youth summer camp programs, including fishing clinics, paddling tours, and science labs
- Educate visitors on the natural and cultural resources of Biscayne National Park
- Staff the visitor center and respond to public inquiries in person, by phone, and in writing
- Rove park sites and assist with stewardship events and offsite outreach
- Participate in professional development and network with NPS staff
Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (ACE does not sponsor employment visas)
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Willing to undergo and pass required criminal background checks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift 40 lbs and work outdoors in hot, humid South Florida conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest or background in education, marine sciences, outdoor recreation, or environmental policy
- Previous experience in public engagement or youth programming
- Familiarity with paddling, snorkeling, or environmental science concepts
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor environment in hot, humid maritime climate
- Potential exposure to insects, extreme weather, and physical terrain
- PPE and training provided by NPS and ACE
