The Nature Programs Educator works as an integral part of the Corvallis Environmental Center  team and is responsible for daily implementation of Nature Education classes and activities.  These programs include an afterschool program, Schools Out Adventure camps and Summer  Camps, field trips, and custom education programs. This position will focus primarily on Corvallis  School District’s PAGES afterschool program for elementary aged children during the school year  (Part-time, 10-20 hours per week) and day camps in the summer (Full-time, 30+ hours per week),  with the possibility of expanding into other areas depending on program needs. Work takes  place in school classrooms and gardens, parks and natural areas, Avery House Nature Center,  Starker Arts Garden for Education, and office settings. During summer camps and environmental  education programs they will lead lessons, activities, and games focused on ecology, science,  nature connection, skill building, and more. The person in this position may also participate in
other education programs as a teacher or substitute when needed.

 Reports to: Nature Programs and Camps Coordinator
 Employment Type: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week (September-June)
 Full time: 30+ hours per week (mid-June through September)
 Pay Rate: $17.50- $18.50 per hour DOE
 Location: Based in Corvallis, Oregon
 Hours: Typically M-Th afternoons (1pm-5:30pm) during the school year, with occasional  morning programs or evening events, 8am-4pm during the summer (June 14th-August 29th  2025)
