Marine Advice Assistant

Salary: £32,544 per annum (rising to £35,377 annually through increments) / $40,355–$43,870 annually.

Position Summary:
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is hiring a Marine Advice Assistant to support the assessment and management of marine casework consultations related to development proposals in coastal environments.

The role involves providing technical support, managing responses to lower-risk casework, and assisting Marine Advisors with nationally significant cases and Public Inquiries. The post holder will be part of the Marine Area Advice and Management Team, known for its friendly and supportive environment.

Position Details:

• Contract: Permanent
• Work Pattern: Full-time (37 hours/week) with flexible options available (e.g., part-time, compressed hours, annualized hours, or term-time working).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for assessing marine casework consultations.
• Manage responses to low-risk marine casework independently.
• Assist Marine Advisors with the end-to-end management of casework advice on nationally significant developments.
• Support the provision of advice during Public Inquiries.

Work Environment:
NRW supports flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home, with an agreed hybrid working pattern established upon appointment. Regular face-to-face meetings or training will be scheduled in advance.
