
INSITE Programme
- Salary/Compensation: Fixed daily rate: £170 for Members, £230 for Chair

- Hours per Week: As needed based on meeting schedules and programme milestones
- Education Required: Advanced degree in marine science, environmental policy, or related field strongly preferred
- Experience Required: Extensive experience in environmental research, marine policy, or stakeholder engagement
Essential Functions:
- Guide the INSITE Programme’s scientific direction and uphold scientific independence
- Assess scientific excellence and research impact related to Marine Artificial Structures (MAS)
- Collaborate independently of institutional affiliations
- Provide strategic input on research priorities, methods, and dissemination
For Chair Role Only:
- Lead the SAG, ensuring high standards and member mentoring
- Organize and run SAG meetings with Programme Director (PD) support
- Resolve split decisions and guide consensus
- Support PD in member replacement and SAG continuity
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership and expertise in marine science, environmental governance, or offshore infrastructure
- Strong communication and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with science-policy interface and cross-sector collaboration
Working Conditions:
- Remote meetings with occasional in-person engagements as needed
- Engagement expected across both Phase 3 operational stages: research and impact phases
