About the Role
The Electrical Supervision & Commissioning Manager (ESCM) at ib vogt is responsible for electrical supervision and commissioning management of solar energy projects. The role ensures projects meet design and quality standards, are safely commissioned for operation, and handed over seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the construction of electrical systems for solar plants, including grid interconnection.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality implementation of electrical systems, including DC/AC, LV/MV/HV, and communication systems installations.
- Develop and manage the commissioning plans for projects, coordinating teams from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Execute testing and commissioning plans for solar power plants.
- Collaborate with grid operators, utilities, and external authorities to achieve safe, timely, and budget-conscious energization.
- Review and comment on electrical drawings prior to construction.
- Work with electrical designers and grid managers to ensure proper implementation of designs and specifications.
- Monitor compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors during design and execution phases, ensuring alignment with onsite teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in solar or renewable energy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical components and norms.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders such as contractors, suppliers, and DNOs.
- Experience in developing commissioning plans and testing LV/HV AC and DC circuits.
- Ability to manage commissioning documentation effectively.
- Expertise in cabling, transformers, inverters, earthing, and SCADA systems.
- HV SAP experience is a plus.
- Mandatory certifications required for electrical construction in PV plants, as per local national regulations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
