Role Overview:
- Salary/Compensation: $17–$21 per hour
- Application Deadline: May 21, 2025 (or until filled)
- Starting Date: June 2, 2025
Ending Date: September 30, 2025 - Hours per Week: 30–35
- Education Required: High School Diploma (preference for natural resource-related degree or current enrollment)
- Experience Required: None required; relevant coursework or field experience preferred
Essential Functions:
- Conduct aquatic habitat surveys using ODFW AQI protocols
- Assist with road sediment and fish passage surveys using GRAIP
- Collect data via GPS units, tablets, and field forms
- Maintain accurate field notes and participate in GIS-based data review
- Support other tasks like riparian maintenance and water quality sampling
- Work in rugged field conditions under varied weather
- Adhere to CoqWA safety protocols and represent the organization professionally
Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license
- Able to carry 40 lbs, hike multiple miles, and work in streams
- Familiarity with GPS navigation, Microsoft Word/Excel
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Willingness to drive 4WD vehicles on rough terrain
