Earth Day Workshop in Surf City, NC Marine CSI is happy to announce a SPECIAL Earth Day marine science workshop, taking place on Sunday, April 27th from 9am-3pm. We’ll be at our favorite place along the coast: Kenneth Batts Family Park and Pavilion in Surf City, NC. Come and learn how to incorporate hands-on marine and environmental science activities into your curriculum, summer camps, or public programs. Our Director of Education has been conducting these types of outreach programs for over 20 years, so you’ll learn the dos and dont’s and how to’s of making these activities fun for your students. This workshop will feature several different lessons from our resources, as well as a short hike along their pier to learn how to teach about estuaries, food webs, invasive species, recreational and commercial fishing, and much more.
