Dive Into The Gulf: An Exposition – Galveston, TX
Date/Location: August 19 – 20, 2022 at Moody Gardens
Dive into the Gulf: An Exposition provides an opportunity for the SCUBA, science, conservation, art, and education communities to come together for one weekend, in addition to a community dinner.
Events range from trying SCUBA, speaker presentations from community experts ranging from the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary to Texas A&M Galveston and more, dive community expo booths, SCUBA diving in the Gulf of Mexico and other opportunities.
The event starts out with a welcome party the night of August 19th at the Palm Beach water park. This will be a great place to wind down and beat the heat – there’s even a lazy river!
On August 20th, the Dive Into the Gulf exposition will open at 10a. Entry to the event includes a raffle ticket and entry to the Aquarium, if you would like to see more of Moody Gardens. There will be speakers from all over the recreational diving, science and conservation, art, safety, and advocacy communities that will be speaking on a central stage during the day.
The day will end with a plated lionfish dinner with a guest speaker (announcement upcoming) to keep the conversations and connections going into the evening. It will be an exciting and connecting event for all interested, whether a diver, nature enthusiast, or Gulf advocate.
Proceeds from the exposition go to the Moody Gardens Conservation Fund and will be used to fund their first independent mission to the mesophotic zone of the Gulf of Mexico.
Tickets are live, along with hotel packages, and vendor registration. All can be found on the Moody Gardens website.
