Overview:

Greenpeace East Asia is looking for a full-time head of fundraising to join their team in an exciting time of ongoing organisational growth and development. We are an independent, nonprofit, global campaigning organization that uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems and their causes. 

Greenpeace stands for positive change through action to defend the natural world and promote peace. We investigate, expose and confront environmental abuse by governments and corporations around the world. We champion environmentally responsible and socially just solutions, including scientific and technological innovation. Our goal is to ensure the ability of Earth to nurture life in all its diversity. 

We operate throughout East Asia, fundraising in Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

Engagement is central to our work with supporters and you will have a crucial role to play in the engagement journey. It encompasses all communications and calls to action. Understanding of how supporter engagement is utilized and maximized is essential to this role and your past experience in this area will be valuable.

Responsibilities:

This exciting new role reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director and as such will be a member of Greenpeace’s Fundraising & Engagement senior management team sharing a collective responsibility to deliver the organisation’s strategy and vision – a future where humanity respects, protects and celebrates the natural world for the benefit of all.

The head of fundraising will lead a dedicated team of fundraisers to provide the necessary vision, leadership, and fundraising skills which will enable the organisation to achieve its fundraising income and donor targets and organisational development programme. 

Qualifications:

They will have substantial fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from individual sources, foundations, trusts and major donors.

Experience in Audience/Research analysis a plus.
