Tropical Marine Ecology Internship

At the Cape Eleuthera Institute we conduct ecological research from near-shore environments to the deep sea. As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience and skills working with professionals across a variety of research projects in spatial ecology, trophic ecology, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, and human interactions with island ecosystems. You will also get a chance to network with other early career scientists and enhance your interdisciplinary and professional skills.

Internships run in the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. Applicants should be 19 or over and studying an undergraduate degree in a biological related field, or have previous research experience and an active interest in marine or ecological research. The internship will likely involve long hours of physical work in a variety of conditions. Therefore, applicants must be in good physical condition, be able to swim and feel comfortable working on boats.
