SUMMARY:Marine Geo-resources Professional Masterclass 2026 to 2027
DESCRIPTION:About this event\nThe Marine Geo-resources Professional Masterclass is a seven day, face to face course and professional certificate now in its second year, addressing the geoskills associated with the exploration, assessment, development, extraction and management of marine sand and gravel resources. The training is primarily targeted at building capability and capacity within the marine dredging sector, and is directly applicable to allied sectors working in the marine environment. It is designed both for those already in marine industry roles and for land-based geo and environmental professionals who want to broaden their knowledge, and although it explores the underlying science it is pitched at practical, real world application by practitioners, with lectures and practical exercises delivered by experienced professionals from industry, consultancy and contractors.\nThe course is pitched at Masters level and above, so a BSc in geology, geography, marine or environmental sciences is generally required. Applications are open, numbers are limited to 20 and places are awarded on application, and attendees are expected to commit to being present for every session. The seven course days are 13 October 2026, 12 November 2026, 10 December 2026, 21 January 2027, 11 February 2027, 4 March 2027 and 22 April 2027.
